Getting an appliance fixed in Hyde Park

A broken appliance can quickly disrupt a shared household. We arrange repairs in Hyde Park for washing machines, dishwashers, cooking appliances, dryers and fridge freezers, with experienced engineers who explain the diagnosis and the options clearly.

The online labour quote accounts for the appliance, brand and installation. Parts are separate and need your approval before fitting. If someone else will meet the engineer, give their contact details when the team confirms the appointment.

Appliance repair in Hyde Park: your questions

Can a housemate meet the engineer?

Yes. Give their name and number when you book and the team arranges the visit with them. Any part still needs approval from whoever booked before it is fitted.

Can you fix my washing machine in Hyde Park?

Yes. Engineers repair freestanding and integrated washing machines at home: drainage, spin, leaks, stuck doors and error codes. Pick “Washing machine” in the quote form for the fixed labour price; any part is priced for your OK before it is fitted.

Are replacement parts included in the labour quote?

No. The online figure is the fixed labour charge for finding the fault and doing the repair. If a part is needed, its cost is explained and it is fitted only once you approve it.

Hoover washing machine

Fault

The motor could be heard running, but the washing-machine drum stayed still.

Assessment
The pulley was loose on its shaft, with stripped plastic splines. The motor and belt were running, but they could no longer drive the drum.
Work
We fitted a replacement pulley, cleaned and secured its retaining bolt with suitable thread-locking compound, then aligned the belt.
Parts
Drum pulley and thread-locking compound.

Checks and outcome

Hand-turning the drum confirmed that the belt tracked centrally. After the compound had cured, a wash and spin test showed correct drive without slipping or knocking.

About Hyde Park

Hyde Park Corner has a recognisable group of traditional shopfronts and independent shops beside Woodhouse Moor. The surrounding residential streets developed more densely than neighbouring Headingley Hill, with terraces forming an important part of their character.
