Appliance Repairs
We offer a fixed fee quote that covers the cost of the engineer’s call-out, service, and labor, regardless of the number of visits the engineer may make or the time spent on the repair. The engineers goal is to repair the fault described by you in the “description of fault” section on the original quotation form. Any additional faults with your appliance must be made known to the company handling the repair prior to the service engineer starting any work. Payment is required before the day of the engineer’s first visit and can be made via Debit/Credit Card or BACS. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express cards.
It is important to note that we do not accept orders from outside of our service coverage area. Additionally, we do not repair commercial appliances. If you require repairs for multiple appliances, you will be charged separate call-out fees at our standard repair rates.
Our goal is to repair most domestic appliances. However, the type, model, and age of the appliance can impact our ability to obtain replacement parts. In some cases, the appliance may be deemed beyond economical repair (BER) or the customer may choose not to have it repaired due to cost or condition. In such instances, please be advised that the quoted call-out charge will still apply. A replacement appliance can be provided at a reasonable cost.
Spare Parts
We only fit parts supplied by the company contracted for the job to guarantee safety and warranty. If a customer provides their own parts, we will charge a separate call-out fee at our standard repair rates and the repair will not be covered by any warranty.
All additional parts needed for the repair will be priced individually, and only relevant personnel are authorised to provide a price quote, unless specified otherwise. Payment must be received prior to putting in an order for the component. An advisor will handle payment for the part over the phone or a appliancerepairleeds.uk Network Engineer (Self-Employed) will take the payment in person. If a component is not required and has been paid for, a refund will be issued.
Typically, we’ll place the order for the part(s) within 3-5 business days of the call out. If the part(s) are not readily available, it may take up to 14 business days to acquire them. Once the part has been received by us, we’ll reach out to you to schedule a follow up repair appointment.
Further Considerations
Customers are required to provide free parking or a valid permit for the appliancerepairleeds.uk Network Engineers (Self-Employed) attending your property. You may be charged for parking if you’re unable to facilitate this. Please contact us for more information.
Cancellations
Please be advised that cancellations made up to 24 hours (1 working day) before a scheduled appointment via email or phone call will be processed without a penalty. Cancellations made 24 hours (1 working day) or less before an appointment will be subject to a charge of half of the service rate. Please contact us as soon as possible and definitely within 24 hours of the visit date if you need the call to be cancelled or rescheduled as once we are at the property or on route to the property you may be charged a wasted visit / cancellation charge which will be subject to a charge of half of the service rate.
Guarantee
Both labour and part(s) replacements carried out by a partner engineer are guaranteed for 6 months. Items not covered by our repair guarantee includes, but is not limited to; blockages, customer misuse, consumable items, components damaged by externally caused faults by electrical or mechanical interference and non-functional parts etc. It also becomes invalid if the appliance has been repaired, serviced, or spare parts installed or purchased by/from anyone other than us or the partner engineer that completed the repair.
Disclaimer
In the event that we are unable to acquire the necessary spare parts from our suppliers, we may not be able to complete the repair of your machine. Nonetheless, you will still be charged the standard labor rate in such cases. If you feel that we have caused damage to your property or appliance, it is imperative that you report it to our Service Manager within 24 hours, as delays past this time frame may hinder your claim. Water damage claims should be reported as soon as they are detected, and the water supply should be turned off immediately to minimise further losses or damage.
Upon the engineer’s arrival, the broken appliance should be easily accessible and can be relocated if necessary to allow for proper repair. If the appliance is found to be inaccessible during the initial visit, our standard labor fee will still be charged. In the event that the engineer reports inaccessibility after the initial visit, additional fees for a rescheduled appointment may apply. Our priority is to carry out installations or removals with minimal damage to the property, however, we cannot be held liable for any damages, distress, or harm caused by delays in our services.
Complaints
If you unfortunately have cause for complaint regarding our service, please call us, network engineer or partner company that booked the repair and we can try to resolve your complaints in that instance. If the above doesn’t work, please document everything in writing and email us. It should take us 8 weeks to respond to your complaint. If we need more time to investigate, we’ll let you know and keep you updated. Refunds will be at the discretion of the network engineer or partner company.
